The two pieces of counter equipment that make an EAS system workable day to day.
The detacher is a magnetic unit that releases a hard tag in one movement, so the queue is not held up. The deactivator pad switches off soft labels as the item is scanned - on some setups it can be combined with the barcode scanner so it happens automatically.
